Secure the CSV
Your exported file will be saved as a .csv file. You can open it with any spreadsheet software.
Keep this file private and secure because it contains sensitive information. Store it only in places you trust.
If you are also backing up your setup, you can save your extensions too. See how to export a Chrome extension to a CRX file.
Import passwords
Import from a CSV
At the top of Google Password Manager, select Import passwords. This lets you bring passwords back into Chrome from another browser or a .csv file.
