Open Chrome

First, open your Google Chrome browser. If you haven’t already, make sure it’s updated to get the best performance and security features.

Go to Settings

Navigate to the top right corner of the window where you’ll see three vertical dots. This is your menu button.

Look for the section labeled Autofill. In some versions, you might find this option grouped under Privacy and security. Click Autofill to enter its settings.

Autofill categories

Chrome breaks down the Autofill settings into three main categories: Passwords, Payment methods, and Addresses and more.

Addresses and contact info

Click Addresses and more and you’ll see a toggle at the top of the page. If the toggle is blue and switched to the right, that means Autofill is enabled. To disable it, click the toggle so it turns gray and shifts to the left.
